Uniform

At Belmont, we want our pupils to feel comfortable and stay focused on their learning, rather than on fashion or appearance.

A shared uniform promotes a sense of unity, reinforces our school identity, and helps students feel connected to our community.

For these reasons, we ask all of our pupils to wear the school uniform.

Primary

Reception to Year 6

• Belmont school purple sweatshirt/Cardigan
• White polo shirt
• Dark trousers or skirt (grey or black)

Secondary

Years 7 to 11

• Plain black v-neck jumper
• White shirt or polo-shirt
• Dark trousers or skirt (grey, black or navy)

PE/Games Kit

• White T-shirt
• Black shorts
• Trainers
• Hooded sweatshirt (purple for primary and plain black for secondary)

 

All pupils should also wear sensible shoes (black), bring a water bottle every day and a rainproof coat for wet or cold weather.

The school hold a small stock of branded school uniform, for both primary and secondary, which are available to purchase directly from us.

Pre-loved uniform

We are very aware of the expense associated with school uniforms. To help with this and ease the financial burden on our families, we have introduced “The uniform exchange” that offers gently used uniform to any of our pupils, for free.

All clothing is pre-loved and offered free of charge. It has been freshly washed, quality checked, and is ready to be used again.

Our aim is to ensure that every student has access to the required uniform, without placing undue stress on household budgets.
