Forest School

Forest School is a unique method to learning outdoors led by a trained Forest School Leader. The central theme is holistic development. It’s aimed to encourage and inspire a positive outdoor experience which in turn will provide the children with transferable skills. Children will have the opportunity to learn about the natural environment, how to manage healthy risks, use their own initiative to solve problems and communicate with others. The children use full sized tools, play games that develop their team building skills and learn boundaries of behaviour in an environment other than the classroom.
Forest Skills is delivered by the class teacher using a similar delivery and order of session.  It is delivered with the same Forest School ethos that children should be encouraged and be given opportunities to be curious about the natural world around them.
